Privacy Policy

Leafbreak helps people quit or cut back on cannabis. We built it privacy-first: most of your data stays on your device, and we collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• On your device (not sent to us): your onboarding answers, check-ins, journal entries, cravings, streaks, and progress are stored locally on your phone by default.
• Anonymous account: the app signs you in with an anonymous account (via Supabase) using a random identifier. We do not require your name, and you can use the app without giving us your email.
• AI features: when you message the in-app coach, or when Pro personalizes your daily questions and tasks, the text involved (your message, a short profile summary you wrote during onboarding, and recent reflections) is sent to our backend and to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the response. We use it to answer you, we do not use it to train models, and we do not store your conversations on our servers.
• Leaderboard (optional): if you choose to join, the handle you pick and your savings totals (money, hours, days) are stored on our server and shown to other users. You can leave anytime, and deleting your account removes your row.
• Subscriptions: purchases are processed by your app store (Google Play or Apple) and managed through RevenueCat, which tells us whether you have an active subscription. We never see your card details.
• Basic technical data: standard logs needed to run the service and prevent abuse (for example, rate-limit records).

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show third-party ads in the app.
• We do not require your real name or contacts.

How we use it

To provide the app, generate coach replies and suggestions, process subscriptions, and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that make the app work: Supabase (backend/auth), OpenAI (AI replies), your app store and RevenueCat (subscriptions). Each handles data under its own terms.

Your choices

• Delete your account and data any time from Profile → Delete account & data in the app.
• Most data lives on your device, so deleting the app removes it.
• You can email us any time to ask what data we hold, request a copy, or request deletion. If you are in the UK or EU, you have legal rights to access, correct, and delete your data.

How long we keep things

Coach conversations are generated in the moment and are not stored on our servers. Server records tied to your account (subscription status, rate-limit counters, and your leaderboard row if you joined) are deleted when you delete your account.

Children

Leafbreak is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
